ZIRO, Apr 1: Deputy Commissioner Somcha Lowang launched the fourth phase of Covid-19 vaccination at Hija today.A total of 376 beneficiaries were vaccinated at nine vaccination session sites across Lower Subansiri today.
People above 45 years of age will be eligible for vaccination in the fourth phase. Besides the special vaccination session site being held at Government Higher secondary school auditorium,Hija today, vaccinations are also  being held  at Gyati Takka General Hospital and all the CHCs and PHCs across Lower Subansiri district.
DC Lowang exhorted all the eligible persons  to come forward to get vaccinated. 
"With the surge of Covid-19 cases in few states like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, it must be a prerogative for all eligible people to get vaccinated immediately," she added.
Interacting with the beneficiaries, she asked them to instill confidence amongst people who are apprehensive  about the vaccine. 
She further requested the medical team to remind the elders about their second dose schedule of the vaccine. 
She further appealed to all the eligible denizens of Lower Subansiri to come forward and get vaccinated.
