ZIRO, Oct 7: Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri, Somcha Lowang kicked off the District level U- 17 Subroto Mukherjee football tournament for both boys and girls here today at the Padi Yubey stadium.
The tournament is being organised by the Deputy Director of School Education Lower Subansiri.
Wishing all the players DC Lowang called for maintaining sportsmanship during the tournament.
The inaugural match was played between Government Secondary School Yachuli & Mihin Bagang Govt. Secondary School , Hapoli in  which  the former emerged victorious by two goals.
