ZIRO, Nov 10: A coordination meeting for the Arunachal Pradesh Golden Jubilee celebrations , which marks the 50th year of naming of the state as Arunachal Pradesh on 20th January, 1972 was held in the Old DC Conference hall,Hapoli today.
The month long programme will be kickstarted from Ziro on 20th January next year and conclude at Yupia, Papumpare on February 20. Minister Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and Dairy Development Er. Tage Taki chaired the meeting.
The initial preparatory measures and formation of District Level Sub committees for various departments were the main agenda of the meeting.
Terming the event to be a mega one, which would be hosting all the 60 MLAs, Commissioners, secretaries, PRI leaders,celebreties , cultural troupes etc from all the districts, Er. Tage Taki called for unified efforts from all the stakeholders for the successful conduct of the event.
District Level Sub Committees for accommodation, District Production, security, Venue production,food and beverages,public relations, transport, cultural, collateral/ merchandise,medical etc were formed during the meeting. These sub committees will conduct meetings and surveys at the local level and coordinate with the State Core Committee for the smooth conduct of the event.
Bobby Hano will head the District level committees for the opening ceremony of the Golden Jubilee celebrations at Ziro.
Interesting events to look forward to the celebrations includes theatre shows, photo exhibitions, cultural extravaganza, fashion show, traditional sports show, live song performances by celebrity singers and local bands, rendition of Hamara Arunachal by renowned singers Bengia Hemanto, Hage Tade etc. Deputy Commissioner Somcha Lowang, ADC Millo Kojin and HoDs attended the meeting. DIPRO
