ZIRO, Sep 18: Deputy Commissioner Lower Subansiri, Somcha Lowang inspected a few residential schools in Ziro to check if Covid Appropriate behaviour  and SOPs have been adopted by the management.
She was accompanied by DMO Dr. Tage Kanno and Nada Duri from the education department.
The DC directed the school In-charges to ensure physical and social distancing is maintained in classrooms and hostels and mandatory use of sanitizers and masks.
The inspection team also took stock of the vaccination status of the teaching and non teaching staffers and directed the school in-charges to submit the updated status to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
"We won't hesitate to issue closure of hostels if Covid 19 SOPs are violated," the DC said while instructing the school authorities to maintain hygiene in the hostels.
