ITANAGAR, Mar 31: Chief Minister Pema Khandu today flagged off the lone participant from Arunachal Pradesh Taka Tamut for International Everest Expedition 2017 which begins on April 7 next from Kathmandu.

Taka was chosen to be part of the International Mount Everest Expedition team, which is being participated by mountaineers from across the globe. CM Khandu while assuring all possible support to the youth wished him all success in his endeavour. He congratulated Taka on being selected for the international team and enthused hope that he along with other members from the team will scale the highest peak with flying colours.

Taka extended gratitude to Khandu and hoped that State Government would keep on encouraging youths opting for such endeavours. He also thanked Adi Baane Kebang for encouraging him and hailed Cabinet Minister Tamiyo Taga for extending financial support. Taka also thanked Decathlon, Guwahati and M Mart Naharlagun for sponsoring his expedition.

During the flag-off, Ministers Tamiyo Taga and Mohesh Chai were present apart from Sports Secretary Dani Salu and Director Youth Affairs, DK Dinglow
