WAKRO, Jun 13: A 5-day art workshop in drawing and painting for students of class 6 to 10 was conducted at New Pukhuri village by APNE Library, Wakro. The resource person was Behelti Ama, a fine arts student of Kalakshetra, Chennai, a centre of excellence in Fine Arts under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The workshop with daily sessions of 2 hours each covered introduction to techniques in  sketching, proportions, light effect, shading, use of pencils, crayons, and water colour. 
The participants worked on preparing sketches of  real objects like fruits  and vegetables and produced sketches  related to environment awareness.
Sharing their impressions, participants expressed their happiness in getting some basic exposure to art work and hoped that they could attend such sessions over longer durations.
