YINGKIONG, Jul 12: Health Minister Alo Libang carried out a series of inaugurations at District Hospital Yingkiong today.
The district launching of National Ambulance Services for DH Yingkiong and CHC Tuting, inauguration of the District Drug De-Addiction Centre, Eye Operation Theatre and distribution of laptops and android phones to Health & Wellness Officers and ASHAs was carried out in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Upper Siang District, Taper Pada,  Dr Riken Rina, PD.APSACS -cum-SPO, APDDAS, Dr Taba Khanna, SPO, NPCB &VI, among others.
In his keynote address, the DMO thanked the Health Minister and the two SPOs for their personal initiatives to set up the facilities in the district. Dr Riken Rina highlighted the state scenario of substance abuse and underlined the need for community intervention to curb the drug menace. Dr Taba Khanna reiterated his commitment to carry out cataract surgery in rural patients after proper line listing by the District health department in future.
