Yingkiong, Feb 21: Minister Health and Family Welfare, Alo Libang on Statehood Day dedicated the new high-resolution Laparoscopic equipment to the people of Upper Siang. He also launched the Laparoscopic Surgical Camp at the District Hospital, Yingkiong under the banner of Tomo Riba Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (TRIHMS) Outreach Activities, amidst a huge gathering.
The new Laparoscopic surgery equipment will greatly boost the capability of the local surgeons and greatly benefit the people of Upper Siang.
A team of experts from TRIHMS led by the Director Dr. Moji Jini, senior surgeons and anesthesiologist will assist the local doctors and OT team in performing eleven laparoscopic surgeries and few pediatric surgeries.
This surgical camp is the first of its kind held by TRIHMS to encourage and hand hold peripheral hospitals in an attempt to deliver best and affordable healthcare facilities at the doorsteps of the common populace. This camp is a continuation of the Outreach Health camp which was conducted by TRIHMS at Yingkiong, Mosing and Tuting this January where all operable cases were screened and shortlisted.
