ITANAGAR, Aug 26: As a precautionary measure, a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test was conducted today at the Assembly Complex for MLAs, officers, officials, security personnel on duty & media persons for the Fifth Session of Seventh Legislative Assembly starting on Thursday.
Speaker Pasang D. Sona, DCM Chowna Mein, Deputy Speaker Tesam Pongte, Tourism Minister Nakap Nalo, MLA Laisam Simai and others also underwent the test. Altogether 262 persons underwent the COVID-19 test today. 
MLAs who couldn't get themselves tested today will be tested tomorrow before the start of the Assembly Session. 
Meanwhile, the members and officials on duty coming to the Assembly tomorrow will have to produce COVID-19 test result (negative) at the entrance failing which they won't be allowed to enter inside the Assembly Hall. Speaker's media cell NB: Test results will come from health department later.
