PASIGHAT, May 12: Legendary singer Talut Mize,65, who breathed his last on Wednesday at a Delhi hospital was laid to rest at his Mirku-Daapi private residence today. A pall of gloom descended throughout the state with the sad demise of the legendary singer.
Late Mize was one of the prominent and pioneer singers of Arunachal Pradesh and also had extensive credit in Adi, Galo and Mishing songs. He was conferred with State Awards in the field of music twice by the Governors of Arunachal Pradesh among many other honours extended by local community based organizations. Talut was known to all for his melodious voice and reviving and popularizing local songs and for his esteemed contributions in the field of music, he was recognized as Legendary Artist of Arunachal Pradesh by the Arunachal Guild for Cultural integration.
MLAs Kaling Moyong, Ninong Ering and Lombo Tayeng, DC Tayi Taggu and ABK (Apex) General Secretary Okom Yosung condoled the untimely death of veteran singer and paid their last respect. His timeless music will continue to enthrall generations to come, they added in their messages.
