ITANAGAR, Oct 18: Continuing its Pan India movement, the Legal Services Authorities across the State today conducted a series of Legal Awareness Programmes in the districts of Papum Pare & Tawang respectively.
The  District Legal Services Authority,Papum Pare and the State Authority jointly  conducted mobile Legal Awareness Drive through mobile  van at four locations  Damsite-I,II,Upper Damsite and Abraham Colony near Naharlagun led by  Advocate Nani Modi of APSLSA and Advocates Rotom Vijay,Oyam Binggep,Bullo Yari and Techi  Natu from Papum Pare DLSA and PLVs wherein  a total of 311 persons were apprised of the  schemes of the Legal Services Authorities. 
Moreover the  District Legal Services Authority, Tawang conducted legal awareness at  Secondary School,Lhou which was attended by more than 63 students and faculties of the institution.
The awareness  consisted of various topics such as the functions of Legal Services Authorities of providing free legal services to the marginalized sections, POCSO Act, 2012, Arunachal Pradesh Victim Compensation Scheme, 2011, Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substance, Women’s Rights were highlighted in the programme.
