BOMDILA, Feb 1: A total of hundred and seven head gaon burahs and buris from remote villages of West Kameng attended the two-day legal literacy -cum- training programme organised by the Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA) and District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Bomdila, which concluded today.
Member Secretary APSLSA, Jaweplu Chai, reiterated to the participants about their integral role in the justice delivery system at the grassroot level stating that the training will sensitize the GBs regarding their powers.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, West Kameng, Sang Khandu in his key note address, appealed the gaon burahs and burihs to be sincere in their roles and function.
A Q & A session was also held where the GBs raised queries and aired their grievances and challenges.
