ROING, Jul 3: As part of the ongoing Van Mahotsav week which is being observed across the country from July 1-7, a two-day plantation drive organised at Parbuk village in Lower Dibang Valley district concluded today in presence of officials and panchayat members.
ADC, Dambuk Sibo Passing, DFO, Territorial Kenjum Rina, ZPM, Bukkong Alina Perme, GPC Ottik Perme and GBs were present on the concluding day of the plantation drive which was supported by Dapong Panchayat Level Federation, Pone Panchayat Level Federation and the youth group of the village. A total of 500 plants of various species and varieties were planted with the objective of promoting environmental consciousness.
Urging the participants to plant more trees in their residential and office compounds along with adequate nurturing during the growth period, the DFO stressed on the importance of afforestation for a greener tomorrow. DIPRO
