ROING, Jun 29: District Task Force on Immunization (DTFI) of Lower Dibang Valley today in a meeting held here at the DC’s Conference Hall reviewed the progress of COVID-19 vaccination and Routine Immunization (RI). Chairing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner K. N. Damo stressed on keeping the focus intact on RI Routine Immunization which covers the children along with the ongoing COVID vaccination drive. Giving an update on the district’s Covid situation, he called for spreading greater awareness on the importance of vaccination and the need to follow all SOPs. He also urged the Medical Officers to work in coordination with the administrative officers, panchayat members and people to bring the numbers down in the district. DMO Dr. R. Tatan while appreciating the MOs and their teams in reaching out to a maximum number of beneficiaries for Covid vaccination, urged the doctors to vaccinate all who come forward to get the shots. DRCHO Dr. Raju Mena made a presentation on RI and Covid vaccination coverage in the district. LDV has so far vaccinated 21416 individuals that include 18+, 45+, HCWs and FLWs with the 1st dose and 2817 with both doses. DIPRO
