Roing, Aug 16: Celebration of Water Conservation Week from August 16-21 with an aim to promote scientific and sustainable use of water as resource, begun today in Lower Dibang Valley district. 
It began with school students visiting the Water Treatment Plant at Jia village where they were taken around and explained about the water quality and working mechanism of water treatment plant for potable water. The students were also informed about the importance of water conservation and its importance.
The students also planted saplings in the compound of the WTP Jia.
