PASIGHAT, Feb 11: Initiated by the East Siang district administration, the last round of Sarkar Aapke Dwar of 2021-22, concluded in the district today at the Berung village. Twenty-nine government departments including banks provided services to the villagers of Berung resolving public grievances on the spot. The services provided during the program are Aadhaar enrollment, inoculation of Covid-19 second dose and booster dose vaccinations, legal aid services, ST, PRC, income certificates, distribution of items under the Ujjala scheme, opening new bank account and other government schemes etc among other services.
The camp was held at the Berung Government UP School near here and was formally inaugurated jointly by the local MLA Kaling Moyong and the DC East Siang Tayi Taggu in presence of a host of admin officers, leaders, GBs and villagers and more than five hundred persons were benefited. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Kaling Moyong said the Pema Khandu led state government is continuously working to take the state towards a positive direction and expressed hope that such services at the doorsteps would help the villagers immensely besides saving their time and energy. Many times, government-sponsored schemes remain unknown to the beneficiaries for whom they are intended. In these camps, the government departments taking quick action provides solutions to the problems of the general public, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Taggu stated that such a program is showing positive results and the government has made a lot of efforts to live up to the citizen’s expectations. We are bringing citizen's rights to their doorstep so that they could be linked with beneficial schemes. DIPRO
