He has also directed the State Government and the District Administrations to issue necessary advisories to the people living in landslide and flood prone areas and extend all-possible relief to the affected people at the earliest.
The Chief Minister Khandu while conveying solidarity to the aggrieved families has assured that the state government is with the victims during these trying times and appealed to the people residing in vulnerable places to maintain extreme precaution particularly while travelling and move to safer places as the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted more heavy rainfall in the next couple of days across the state.
He has also directed the DAs and the Disaster Management Department to keep a strict vigil and monitor the situation continuously to avoid further loss of lives.
Incessant rain over the last couple of days triggering landslides and floods have left trails of large-scale devastation in the entire state. Reports have kept pouring in about landslides in various locations in and around the Capital region badly affecting road communication.
The steady increase in water levels in streams and rivers has also escalated the concern of the state administration. PRO Raj Bhavan, CMO, DIPRO
