LADA/ITANAGAR, Mar 27: In a delightful moment for the people of Lada Circle, East Kameng district, the people of Lada have seen a four wheeler reaching their doorsteps after more than 41 years of its establishment.
 The joy and excitement amongst the denizens including children was immeasurable when one Orgen Khaduju reached Lada on March 20 with his four-wheeler, first time after independence and establishment of the Lada town.
‘Lada Circle was created in 1981, after 40 years we the people of Lada Circle finally got road connectivity’l,' said Chairman Nedo Welfare Society (NWS) Kalley Rijuju. NWS would like  extend our heartfelt  thanks to former Chief Minister and present MLA 15-Sagalee Assembly Constituency Nabam Tuki, Former Home Minister Kumar Waii , present MLA 8-Bameng Assembly Constituency  Goruk Pordung , RWD EE Minmar Ronya and most importantly present state government  for their support  in making this dream come true, said  Rijuju  who is also the chairman of Northeast Kho-Kho Federation of India.
‘Actually the scheme sanction was from Kojo to Nabolong but the Contractor Taluk Waii made his noble gesture and additionally connected Lada C/O HQ too which is approximately 3-4 Kilometre,' he informed while extending gratitude to the contractor.
'People of Lada have been in darkness for the last many decades due to the absence of road connectivity. The pain and suffering since 1981 is unspeakable, many lost their loves ones while on way for medical treatment at the district headquarters Seppa which is almost 170 km from Lada; many spent their nights without food due to bad weather conditions and failing to reach Lada with their head loads of ration items,' recalled Chairman NWS.
Though proper motorable road is not yet completed but it will be done soon,  he said urging local denizens to cooperate with the executing agencies for the early completion of the said road.
 Lada, is one of the most beautiful circle headquarters with its fertile land and mesmerizing landscape that has huge tourism and Agri  & allied sector potential. So with the road connectivity, the people of Lada will surely see a new ray of hope for economic development also, stated Rijuju. He further, informed that the development of network connectivity and other basic amenities are also in pipeline.
The road project was sanctioned in 2018 under PMGSY to connect one of the remotest circle headquarters Lada of East Kameng district.
