TEZU, Aug 3: Much to the delight of the students and parents in Lohit district, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Tezu, a premier central government school under the aegis of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) has introduced Humanities stream for the first time from the academic session 2020- 21.   
Giving his reactions, DC Lohit Prince Dhawan said that introduction of the  stream will cater to the aspirations of the poor and meritorious students and has come at the right time when Higher Secondary School Tezu in the township is overcrowded with students.
The  excellent  educational  infrastructure in KV Tezu would also make sure that students  pursuing Arts are capable of competing at the national level, DC added.  
Principal KV, Tezu, Shiv Pratab said introduction of the stream has been possible due to the sustained demand made by the parents and relentless efforts made by the DC who is also the Chairman of the school in pursuing the matter with the Union MHRD.
“I extend my deepest gratitude to the DC for his overwhelming support & endeavour and to the parents ,” the Principal added.
“We have a sitting capacity of 40 students as per NCERT norms in Class-XI. The school has already been upgraded to Higher Secondary level only with Science stream. After addition of the Humanities stream, children of the Army personnel, central government, state and local populace would be facilitated with quality education,” the Principal hoped.   
The school sources also added that all admission procedures  including fill-up and submission of form are being done online and after scrutiny of application the list will be uploaded in the website. The admission details can be obtained from the website- https: //kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. The last date of admission is August 9.
