AALO, Jul 10: The Kargu Kardi Welfare Society Aalo Unit, Galo Peoples' Federation and Bogum Ao Foundation has condoled the untimely demise of
Er. Kirba Sora, 52, who was working as EE PHED and was  President of Galo Welfare Society, Aalo Unit.
Late Sora was a social worker and leader, an elite engineer who took active part in preservation of indigenous culture and tradition. He took active role in overall development of people of interior areas and was instrumental in ODF programme in West Siang district, the KKWS said.
The GPF said late Sora was a good traditional orator (xikok) and social worker apart from his official position.
His premature death is a great loss to Galo society in particular and state as a whole. At this hour of grief, GPF convey sincere condolence to the grieving family and pray to Almighty Donyi-Polo for eternal peace of the departed soul and to bestow enough strength to his family members to bear the irreparable loss, the GPF said.
The Bogum Ao Foundation (BAF) while mourning the untimely death of Er. Kirba termed him as a great human being, a generous person with concern for all, a social worker and a dedicated officer. His untimely death being one of the strong pillars of the Bogum Ao & Galo society as a whole has created a void which would be difficult to fill, the BAF said.
Sora passed away today at the age of 52, surrounded by loved ones at Guwahati.
