ITANAGAR, Sep 18: The Kargu Kardi Students Union (KKSU)  has served a representation to the local MLA to initiate necessary measures to retain the Vice Principal at Government Higher Secondary School,Yomcha.
The school has been without a Principal for more than two months since  the last  Principal has been assigned a new responsibility as DDSE, West Siang, release stated.
Documents available with this daily shows that the Vice Principal had joined the school on August 27 and has been transferred out on September 9 last.
"This isn't an isolated mishandling of one of the best performing higher secondary schools of West Siang , earlier this year , four teachers -- 3 PGT and  1 TGT -- were issued transfer orders without providing any reliever," claims KKSU General Secretary Jomki Yomgam.
"As per the Teacher Transfer and Posting Policy Act 2019-20, part V of article no (IV) states that while effecting transfers, the academic interest of the students shall be supreme", states KKSU President Minku Tato while adding, such transfer not only violates the TTP Policy Act  but hampers the academic progress of the students.
Further, both the KKSU leaders have threatened to initiate democratic movement against the competent authority, if issue is not addressed immediately.
