ITANAGAR, Jun 30: Expressing concern over the transfer of at least five teachers without any reliever, the Kargu Kardi Students' Union (KKSU) has submitted a representation to the Director of Secondary Education and sought reconsideration of the order and retention of the transferred teachers.
In its representation, KKSU said that in the recent order the Directorate of Secondary Education, has transferred four (4) Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) from Govt. Hr. Secondary School Yomcha without reliever and one lone Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) of Mathematics Department from Govt. Hr. Secondary School Liromoba, West Siang District without any reliever.
While expressing dismay over the transfer of teachers without any reliever, and worries pertaining to the academics session of students, KKSU asserted that students are already facing a shortage of teaching staff most of the time and with these transfers the students studying in said jurisdiction will be the worst sufferers.
Claiming such move as step-motherly treatment toward Yomcha and Liromoba Circles specially in the education sector, the KKSU have also raised concern that if the respective teachers are transferred without any reliever then it will lessen the students’ enthusiasm for learning and have a drastic negative impact on students academic performance.
The union said it is not adamant about the retention of transferred teachers, but it expects the concerned authority to provide relievers against the transferred posts for the well-being of the students studying in the aforementioned jurisdiction.
