KHONSA, Oct 3: The General Hospital Khonsa will be shut down for 72 hours to facilitate contact tracing after eight hospital staffers tested positive for COVID-19.
"In view of the rising numbers of COVID-19 positive cases, it has been decided to close down the hospital for 72 hours with effect from October 4 for contact tracing, sanitation of Hospital & its premises, " Medical Superintendent, General Hospital Khonsa in an official communique stated.
Only Emergency services will be available during the closedown. To check the transmission of infection, limited number of staff will be deployed during the shutdown, " the notification reads.
