ITANAGAR, Aug 17: To mark the 75th year of Indian Independence, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP organized ‘Tiranga Yatra’ which will see 75 Km cycle, marathon and bike rallies at 75 locations across the country.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu flagged off the event today at BJP Headquarters, Itanagar in presence of BJP State President Biyuram Wahge , National Secretary BJYM Arun Jyoti Hazarika among others.
During the flag-off, Khandu urged the Karyakartas to work for the nation’s progress and unity as well as all round development of state. Every individual has to participate in the prosperity and progress of the state and fight against corruption, he said. He also appealed to the youth and citizens of the state to fight against drugs and other anti-social elements.
The Tiranga Yatra will cover 26 Districts, 60 Mandals of the state.
