ITANAGAR, Nov 12: The Capital's Superintendent of Police, Jimmy Chiram, said on Thursday that two people have been arrested in connection with the death of Techi Meena Lishi who was allegedly found dead inside a car in mysterious condition on November 5 last.
"A team has been formed under the supervision of SDPO Naharlagun to investigate the case and further details can only be disclosed after the completion of all the investigation process,” Chiram said while refusing to comment further on the case. A case has been registered under Section 302 120B / 201 of the Indian Penal Code, the SP added.
7-month pregnant, Meena Lishi (36), wife of Roni Lishi who is the son of former MLA Lishi Legi, was allegedly found dead inside a car on November 5, near the Karsingsa block point. The deceased was the Accounts and Finance Secretary of Miss Arunachal Organization.

Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW) while expressing shock and dismay over the death of Techi Meena Lishi has sought status report of the case from the Capital SP and asked him to conduct the investigation in a speedy and fair manner to ensure justice to the victim and her family.
Earlier, the father of the deceased in a complaint to the Commission alleged that his daughter’s death was not due to an accident but is a criminal conspiracy. The Commission has also requested the citizens to cooperate with the police in the investigation process.
