ITANAGAR, Aug 12: 

Even as the city police is yet to make any breakthrough in the alleged murder of late Migrik Lomi Karga, civil societies and students of Kamba Sub-Division under the banner of Hirik Hiru Students’ Union (HHSU) on Friday evening took out a candlelight march at Kamba town in West Siang district, demanding immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the murder.

The body of late Migrik Lomi Karga was recovered in a pool of blood in her rented apartment at Lekhi village on the morning of July 31 last. Hailing from Kabu village under West Siang District, the deceased was pursuing MA in Rajiv Gandhi University.  

More than 2000 people from all walks of life participated and demanded authorities to immediately arrest the culprits.

Meanwhile,  the Union will submit a three-point representation to the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh demanding immediate arrest of the culprits within a week’s time, announcement of compensation to the deceased family and endorsement of murder case to the SIT for free and thorough investigation.
