Sessions Judge and Chief Judicial Magistrate M. Kamsi also joined the committee. While taking stock of the functioning of the Home, DC stressed on following the provisions of Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act (JJ Act) in letter and spirit while dealing with children in conflict with law. She also suggested various services to be given to the inmates by way of counselling, moral education and other assistance. The Sessions Judge also suggested streamlining of some areas for proper functioning of the Home. SP Rajiv Ranjan Singh, Deputy Director, ICDS and founder Chairperson, Ayang NGO, Aini Taloh also gave their inputs during discussion. CDPO, Pasighat Onyok Panyang and Superintendent of the Home also presented a detailed report about its the functioning. Various resolutions such as providing innovative teaching aids to CCL by NGO Ayang, providing additional learning and teaching aids by DDSE, regular health check-up of inmates were taken.
The team also carried out inspection of the boys and girls dormitories, kitchen, dining hall and premises of the Juvenile Home. They also visited the JJB court room, One Stop Centre and DCPU office. DIPRO
