AALO, Oct 27: Joint inspection team for Advance Landing Ground in Arunachal Pradesh inspected the proposed new site for ALG at Tarmoba near Kombo village, Aalo. The proposed ALG is 6 kilometres from Aalo township, the headquarters of West Siang District. 
The inspection team was headed by Member of Parliament (Arunachal East) Tapir Gao and the members of Parliamentary Committee of Civil Aviation. The team included Nodal Officer Shantanu Phainkar of Airports Authority of India and officers of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Alliance Air(AA), Director General Civil Aviation(DGCA), Bureau of Civil Security Aviation (BGCA).
During the public meeting at Kombo village, Gao said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is planning to construct new ALGs in Arunachal Pradesh one among them is Tarmoba. He urged the people of Kombo village to donate land for future development and requested the people to coordinate with the District Administration and other stakeholders for the ALG.
Former Minister and senior citizen of area, Doi Ado narrated the brief history of the ALG. The initial survey of ALG at Kombo / Tarmoba was initiated during the year 1998 under the then Chief Secretary of Arunachal Pradesh, Takap Ringu(IAS) but could not materialize. The proposed area is 2.5 km in length and 500m in breadth; if materialize the ALG will be of table top airfield.

MLA Kento Jini said that proposed airfield is urgently required from a strategic point of view. If this dream project comes true, the people of Siang belt including six districts will be benefitted. He requested the land owners of the area to donate land without any hesitation for future development.
DC West Siang Penga Tato urged the people to cooperate with all the stakeholders for the success of the dream project.
The land owners welcomed the visiting team and assured to donate the land for the proposed new ALG for the development of the State as well as for the nation's interest.
Airports Authority of India, Nodal officer expressed satisfaction over the feasibility of the site. DIPRO
