Bomdila, Mar 31: The District Administration of West Kameng, in close coordination with officials from the Border Protection and Development Department, Government of Assam, as well as representatives from the Border Affairs Department, Government of Arunachal Pradesh, the Arunachal Pradesh Space Application Centre, Itanagar, and the Survey of India, has commenced joint survey operations for the erection of border pillars along the inter-state boundary with Assam.
The survey work was formally initiated in the Chopai area under Kamengbari-Doimara Circle, which shares its boundary with Sonitpur District of Assam.
The Deputy Commissioner of West Kameng, Dr. Dilip Kumar, personally supervised the survey operations and reviewed the progress on the ground. He was accompanied by key district officials, including the Additional Deputy Commissioners of Singchung and Bomdila, DySP Bomdila, DLRSO, Divisional Forest Officer (Khellong Division), and engineers from the Public Works Department.
