The first half of the meeting was held among the government representatives including Deputy Commissioners of Lohit, Namsai, and Changlang while the second meeting was held with the representatives of the non-APSTs residing in three districts of eastern Arunachal. During the meeting, representatives from non-APST aired their grievances to the JHPC members.
Rebia informed that the JHPC meeting held today was not the final as more discussions have to be done regarding the issuance of PRC to non-APST or not. ‘We have heard the grievances of both the indigenous people and non-APST residing in the state since time immemorial, so we will submit the report to the government of Arunachal Pradesh within next 15 days.’
