ITANAGAR, Jul 4:Itanagar police today warned of stern action against defaulters of number plates fitted in different colour, category and design and even vehicle without number plate. The capital police since last month have been trying its best in maintaining traffic rules and imposing fines and so far challaned hundreds of vehicle so far.

Today the traffic checking was launched on number plate and vehicle without number plate. Eight vehicle were fined while 2 challaned and sent to court.

Itanagar SDPO Hanyir Techi, OC Tabi Bage and SI RK Jha, N. Angu among other police personnel and traffic police of Itanagar police station participated in the drive.

Those who do not adhere to the traffic rule would face stern action very shortly and such drive shall continue and vehicles will be impounded, Hanyir said.
