ITANAGAR, May 9:  As the Itanagar Capital Region prepares to go into a 7-day Lockdown from May 10, the capital administration held a meeting today to review the over-all preparedness.
Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Talo Potom convened a meeting with all the stakeholders to discuss the preparedness of all the concerned departments with regard to the entire Capital Complex Containment which would come into effect from 5am of May 10 to May 17.
Urging all to ensure that the containment order is implemented in letter and spirit, the DC asked the EACs Itanagar and Naharlagun regarding their arrangement and asked the Administrative Officers to monitor the price set for essential commodities in coordination with the APMC and Legal Metrology. He also asked the In-charge DFCSO to ensure the availability of LPG cylinders and also POL at the petrol pumps.
The SP Jimmy Chiram informed that deployment of forces has already been done and altogether 29 nakas would be set up across the capital. He also informed that  patrolling is being carried out regularly by the police team. He said that even though list of exempted services has been circulated amongst the Police personnel, the capital police city control room 6009909795 can be contacted for any kind of emergency.
The DMO Dr Mandip Perme informed that the Triage Centre at Hotel Donyi Polo Ashoka will also become functional from May 10 for better management of Covid-19 patients. The triage center would categorise patients into mild, medium and severe and accordingly severe cases would be sent to DCH Chimpu and the rest would be monitored at the centre itself by a team of doctors.
He also informed that contact tracing at micro containment zones is being carried out everyday by the team of Magistrates, Police and Medical.
He further  said that intensive measures are being undertaken to stop the chain of transmission.
Later, the DC also convened a meeting with the Mayor Tame Phassang, Dy Mayor Biri Basang, Corporators and the home delivery services for smooth and hassle free delivery during the containment period. The DC also sought cooperation from the Corporators to ensure that the delivery  services  are not affected in any way which might create inconvenience to the public.  
The DC further said that essential services like LPG, essential commodities etc  would be made available at doorstep. However, it is necessary for all to cooperate regarding the movement timings and delivery, said the DC. 
He further asked the Corporators to provide necessary assistance  to the contact tracing team as and when required. He also urged them to ensure that SOPs are strictly followed by all especially  wearing of mask etc.
The Mayor assured that the team of IMC will ensure that the containment order is implemented properly within their respective jurisdiction.
The DC asked the Home delivery services to strictly follow all the SOPs . He also asked them to maintain the MRPs and not to sell beyond the MRPs or the rate as set by the District Administration. 
He has also appealed the denizens to abide by SOPs and to follow Covid appropriate behaviour even at homes. He has also requested them to strictly follow  the Containment order and not to move out of their houses at any cost.
The DC has further asked the business establishment not to take undue advantage of the situation and to strictly sell the commodities at the MRPs or as per the rate set by the DA.
Urging all to coordinate and cooperation with each other, Potom stressed "We have to jointly fight to win the war against covid."
Other issues like garbage management, monitoring of Home Isolation etc were also discussed in detail.
