ITANAGAR, Apr 14: Itanagar Cricket Club (ICC) won the three-match one-day series against Doimukh Cricket Association (DCA) 2-1, thrashing the latter by 53 runs in the decider played today.
The matches were held at the PPDCA ground, Doimukh from April 10 to 14.
Winning the toss, the ICC elected to bat first and made a respectable total of 230/8 in 50 overs. Chasing the target, the DCA were bowled out for 177 in 43.1 overs.
Kale Cheda came up with a topnotch bowling performance, taking a five for conceding 33 runs in his 10-over spell in the final clash and was adjudged as the man of the match.
Another major contributor was Nabam Tempol with his all-round performance, who scored a breezy 92 not out off just 78 balls and bagged 1 wicket.
More importantly, Suraj Tayam was declared as the man of the series for his all-round show, as he took a total of 8 wickets, including the 3 in the final day and tallied 73 runs including a half century (56) in the three matches.
