ITANAGAR, Jul 6: The 15th project review meeting of construction of 4-Lane of Itanagar to Banderdewa Section (Package- A) of National Highway-415 was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar at Civil Secretariat today.
Taking stock of the present status of the ongoing construction works of various projects like the Underpass, Culverts, 1st Bridge at Chandranagar, 2nd Bridge near DC Office Entrance (RHS), the Chief Secretary asked the TK Engineering to not push the target of completion of the works further.
The target for completion of the Underpass at Bank Tinali has been fixed on or before 15th August 2021. Similarly the targets for completion of crash barriers; culverts, culvert outlets and closing of unauthorised divider openings have been set on July 15 and July 31 respectively.
The Chief Secretary directed the TK Engineering to take serious note and put every possible effort in order to complete the works on the scheduled targets. Reiterating that there are already many delays especially in the case of completion of the Underpass, he told them to put extra man and machine power if required.
It was also decided to hand over the Package B (from Papu Nallah to Nirjuli), and Package C (from Nirjuli and Banderdewa) of the NH-415 to the State PWD Highway at the earliest after completion of all the codal formalities by the District Administration (ICR).
The Chief Secretary further directed the Highway Monitoring Team of Authoritys Engineer (YS) to give regular updates on the progress of the Underpass and other works.
Commissioner PWD Kaling Tayeng, Commissioner to CM Sonam Chombey, DC (ICR) Talo Potom, Chief Engineer (Highway) Kuru Sera, EE (H) Nani Tath, representatives from TK Engineering and others were in the meeting.
