ITANAGAR, Sep 21: Minister for Education, Cultural Affairs and Department of indigenous Affairs, Taba Tedir inaugurated  the Itafort museum gallery at the Western Gate and released a documentary film on museums of Arunachal Pradesh "Ethnic vibrance of the Northeast"  here today at Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum Conference Hall.
While interacting with the officials of the research department, the Minister urged them to ensure proper maintenance and publicity of all the historic places and museums of the state to make them tourism destinations of the state.
Speaking about the newly inaugurated Archaeological Museum Gallery, Tedir said that the gallery will be very much helpful for the upcoming generation as it will give knowledge about the history, culture and traditions of all the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh.
 Minister also suggested that tourist sites should be given on lease to unemployed youths who are qualified in Tourism subjects. It will not only generate employment but revenue for the department also,he said.
Earlier Tedir visited the Southern and Eastern gates of Itafort along with officials. He later released a  book on the History and culture of Mishmi of Arunachal written by Dr K.K Pandey.
