ROING, Sep 1: A seven-member inter ministerial central team (IMCT) visited Lower Dibang Valley district today and inspected the damages caused by floods at the Dibang bride point, Bomjir and the 10km bridge point on the Sisiri river. The central team was accompanied by MLA Gum Tayeng, secretary (disaster management) Dani Salu, director(DM) Atul Tayeng, deputy commissioner Mitali Namchoom, ADC Rujjum Rakshap, assistant director(DM) Nob Tsering and other officers.
The deputy commissioner submitted a flood damage report of the district consisting of infrastructure damages caused during the recent floods, which was assessed by the PWD, WRD, PHED and electrical department.
The IMCT is headed by KB Singh, joint secretary(FFR), ministry of home(GoI) and consists of Sailesh Kumar, deputy secretary, Department of Rural Development (Min. of Rural Development), Dr. Man Singh, director, directorate of sugarcane development (Min. of Agriculture and FW), Pawan Kumar Gupta, assistant director of central electricity authority, Abhishek Sinha, superintending engineer, central water commission, Shillong, Vishal Pandey, executive engineer, MoRT& H, Itanagar regional office and Rai Bahadur Kaul, consultant, department of expenditure, ministry of finance.
