Aalo, Jan 30: The 5-day Inter-District Youth Exchange Programme was inaugurated today in Aalo, West Siang District, with the objective of promoting cultural exchange, mutual understanding, and unity among the youth of Arunachal Pradesh.
A total of 35 youth participants along with two escorts from Papumpare District arrived in West Siang District, the host district, to take part in the programme. The initiative provides a platform for young participants from both the host and guest districts to interact, share cultural traditions, ideas, and experiences, and strengthen bonds of brotherhood and social harmony.
The inaugural programme was attended by Lige Lollen, President, BJP West Siang, as the Chief Guest, and Eken Bame, Circle Officer (CO), West Siang District, Aalo, as the Guest of Honour. Both dignitaries highlighted the importance of youth exchange programmes in fostering national integration, cultural appreciation, and leadership qualities among young citizens.
The programme is being organized to facilitate meaningful cultural interaction between the youth of Papumpare and West Siang districts through various activities, discussions, and cultural presentations during the exchange period.
Such initiatives play a significant role in empowering youth and strengthening inter-district cooperation, while celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the state.
