PASIGHAT, Oct 3: The Pasighat Indoor Badminton Hall adjacent to the airport here in the township was inaugurated by Pasighat East MLA Kaling Moyong on Friday.
DC Dr. Kinny Singh, MLAs Kento Rina and Ninong Ering, President, East Siang Olympic Association Tamat Gamoh and a host of officers and leaders were present during the inaugural ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Moyong said the indoor set-up which houses three badminton courts and a decent space for spectators will be a priceless gift both for the young badminton enthusiasts and seniors of East Siang district. While underscoring the role of badminton in improving fitness and immunity, the MLA exhorted the youths to grab the opportunity in excelling in the game and assured all-possible help to the East Siang Badminton Association (ESBA) for the hall’s betterment. The DC also spoke on the importance of sports in attaining ideal physical and mental fitness. The MLAs while stressing on the significance of indoor games asked the ESBA to encourage women and children to make full use of the hall.
ESBA President Dr. Naku Taloh expressed gratitude to all concerned for the support and contributions in realisation of the long-cherished dream for the district’s people. DIPRO
