AALO, Apr 26: ‘Year of Tourism-2021’, a flagship programme initiated by the Indian Army under which free course on various trades of tourism will be offered to the state’s tourist volunteers was inaugurated today here in the West Siang district headquarters by Commander, 5 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Puneet Sharma.
Brigadier Sharma exhorted the participants to make best use of the courses and share feedback that will help the Army to take up more such initiatives for civilians in future. Deputy Commissioner Moki Loyi appreciated the Hq 5 Infantry Division, Aalo for organizing the training that would help in the making of efficient tourist operators and guides.
Altogether 27 tourist volunteers from different districts are participating in the training which will continue till May 5. DIPRO
