Wakro, Sep 6: A financial assistance of Rs 12,000 under the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme was handed over to one Walenglu Mam, the widow of Late Thaisa Mam, the former Gaon Bura of Pukhuri by Extra Assistant Commissioner Lui Shiba on behalf of the CO 20 Madras Col PR Pathrudu.
Deputy Director of School Education, Lohit district Mana Linggi and Maj MR Godara also handed over solar home lights to her. Anu Shiksha Seva Trust (ASSET) has thanked Ms Adity, Prabhatji Dhandania, Ms Nikhaar and Nimishji Sharma for supporting the Beena Ghose Roy Scheme. Col Partha, CO of an infantry battalion in his message appreciated the service initiative of the Trust and assured support.
Meanwhile, in the sidelines of Ajai Day which was celebrated in remembering the kindness of Brig Ajai Prakash, Maj MR Godara on behalf of Col PR Pathrudu, Commanding Officer of 20 Madras Regiment handed over a cheque of Rs 25,000 to Apyalu Mam. The financial assistance to support the education of the girl child came from Brig Sajeev Katarya, SM, Commander and members of the Indian Armed Forces.
