PASIGHAT, Jan 27: Spearhead Division of Spearcorps of Indian Army celebrated the 77th Republic Day with patriotic fervour at Pasighat Outdoor Stadium with a “Know Your Army” campaign as part of the celebrations, providing the civilian populace a unique opportunity to familiarise themselves with the ethos, role and capabilities of the Indian Army.
The campaign showcased through a comprehensive exhibition was also visited by Pasighat   MLA Tapi Darang, DC Sonalika Jiwani, Padma Shri Yanung Jamoh Lego,   SP Pankaj Lamba and host of dignitaries.
The ‘Know your Army’ campaign also witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local populace, with a large number of students from schools in and around Pasighat, including Sainik School East Siang, as well as NCC cadets, adding youthful energy and vibrancy to the event. Visitors were given first-hand exposure to the Indian Army’s organisational structure, operational roles and latest weapons and equipment, fostering awareness and appreciation of the Army’s technological prowess and professional excellence.  
The initiative aimed at strengthening the civil–military connect by encouraging interaction, trust and mutual understanding between the armed forces and the local populace. The youth were inspired to learn about life in uniform, leadership, discipline and opportunities for service to the nation,the release said.
The event significantly enhanced bonhomie between the Indian Army and the people of the region, reaffirming the Army’s commitment to nation-building and community outreach. Such initiatives continue to play a vital role in motivating the younger generation while strengthening the enduring bond between the armed forces and citizens. DIPRO
