Himself an alumni of the school, Sona while recalling his student days said, “I attribute RKM Aalo for everything that is happening in my life.” Recollecting how he would take an arduous 7-day foot journey from his hometown Mechukha to Kaying to reach his school at Aalo, Speaker said it was because of the love and affection of Swamijis and teachers, students never shied away from school. Extending heartfelt gratitude to the Swamijis and teachers, he emphasised that apart from extra-curricular activities, students should inculcate reading habit and cited the famous Walt Disney quote “There is more treasure in books than in all the pirates' loot on Treasure Island and best of all, you can enjoy these riches every day of your life.” In a bid to encourage the students on reading habits, Speaker announced to provide fund for buying books of all genres for the school library.
