PASIGHAT, Jan 6: The first batch of the six-month State Level In-service Horticulture Officers’ Training Programme was inaugurated today here at the 2-Mile training camp by EAC Dakto Riba in presence of Dean of CHF, Pasighat Dr. BN Hazarika and HoDs.
Riba said that in-service training is a vital professional training which gives an opportunity for the in-service horticulture officers to learn new approaches on usage of modern technology and various methods of cultivation in horticulture sector. He advised the trainees to attend the training sincerely to educate themselves so as to implement their knowledge in their respective areas to boost the economy of local growers and the state as a whole.
Dean (CHF) opined that such effort involves learning through the assistance and supervision of experienced and senior officers and these are all valuable inputs for the trainees having ingredients of customized and real work experiences.
HoD Oter Gao informed about the aims and objectives of the training and said that twenty-five horticulture officers/officials across Arunachal Pradesh would be trained in the first batch with theoretical and practical classes in the camp and CHF besides field studies in and outside East Siang district.
