ITANAGAR, Apr 27: The first meeting of the Arunachal Pradesh Indigenous Affairs Council (APIAC) was held today under the chairmanship of Taba Tedir, Minister, Department of Indigenous Affairs at the Directorate of Indigenous Affairs, Chimpu, Itanagar.
Participating in the discussion, all the 12 members of the Council dwelled at length about the issues relating to indigenous faith believers of Arunachal Pradesh and prepared a road map for smooth functioning of the Department of Indigenous Affairs. The members also expressed their view points and put forth their suggestions as to how indigenous faith, culture and tradition could be preserved and practiced.
Earlier, Secretary DIA, AK Singh briefed about the activities undertaken by the department till date. The meeting ended with vote of thanks by Director DIA, Sokhep Kri.
