NAHARLAGUN, Jul 28: IMC Mayor Tame Phassang has appealed to all the denizens of the Capital Region and the state as a whole to take both doses of COVID-19 vaccine to contain the pandemic.
Phassang made the appeal today while attending the inauguration ceremony of a multi-facility private hotel in Naharlagun which was inaugurated by his mother Nyoni Phassang. Built over an area measuring forty thousand square meter, ‘Hotel Dashang’ is named in the fond memory of his late forefather ‘Dhassang’, the Mayor informed. It is equipped with all contemporary amenities like life-size conference hall, lobby, spa, gym, restaurant and luxurious rooms to serve both business as well as tourism purposes. Housed within the Sohum shopping complex it will also have a multiplex which is coming soon. “The idea behind expanding from a shopping complex to the hospitality sector is to provide services to the denizens of the ICR. This is an effort to encourage the concept of Smart City and think beyond the normal ‘profit making’ motto,” he said.
Phassang also appealed to the rising entrepreneurs of the state to establish ‘larger than life’ and ‘unique’ businesses. Among others, Deputy Mayor Biri Bassang, IMC Commissioner Cheechung Chukhu , corporators from various wards, President APG Chopa Cheda and adviser to CM Tai Tagak were present on the occasion.
