ITANAGAR, Jul 29: "Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) once when rolled out and fully implemented, will be a game-changer in integrating many of the health data systems to facilitate proper plannings and resource allocations by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, " observed Juhi Mukherjee, IAS, the Secretary (H&FW) cum Mission Director (NHM) on Monday.
She emphasized that “what gets measured will be monitored” and advised the gathering to commit themselves to do this work on IHIP with integrity and sincerity.
Mukherjee was addressing the State-level workshop cum Training of Trainers of Arunachal Pradesh' use of Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) here today.
Appreciating the resource persons, she assured them of the government’s full support in implementing the IHIP in the State smoothly and successfully to meet all the objectives.
She congratulated, Dr. L. Jampa and his team in the SSU-IDSP for organizing this important workshop.
Dr. Emi Rumi, in his capacity as the Director of Health Services, reminded that in the era of digital world and in the concept of winning the war, the onus of responsibility lies on the health workers at district level. He advised the participants to learn their maximum and they must sensitize the DMO and DRCHO about the IHIP on their return.
Earlier, Dr. Pavana Murthy, highlighted the objectives of the workshop and informed to the house that unlike the IDSP which provides weekly reporting on 16-communicable diseases, the IHIP will cover up to more than 33+ diseases and shall be on a daily basis reporting and case-based system.
The Integrated Health Information Platform (IHIP) is a web-enabled near–real-time electronic information system that is embedded with all applicable Government of India’s e-Governance standards. Information Technology(IT), Data and meta-data standards to provide a state-of-the-art single operating picture with geo-spatial information for managing disease outbreaks and related resources.
Ramesh Krishnamurthy, who is a Senior Advisor, Division of Data, Analytics and Delivery for Impact and Dr. Pavana Murthy, National Professional Officer –WHO (India) on Health Security and Emergency are participating to assist in the ToT which is being attended by 3-participants from each of the existing 20-District Surveillance Units of IDSP.
