NAHARLAGUN, Sep 23: Around 20 students from various schools of the state, representing their respective districts participated in the State Level Literary Competition conducted by Indigenous Faith & Cultural Society of Arunachal Pradesh (IFCSAP), Youth Wing today here at Bharat Scouts & Guides Training Centre, Polo Colony.
IFCSAP Youth Wing President Nabam Ruja in his address briefed the attendees about the objective of the programme and sought cooperation from the participating students. Ruja informed that the participating delegates are the winners of district level literary competition held at all the 23 districts of the state, wherein around 80000 students had participated.
Addressing to the participants, IFCSAP Gen Secy, Bai Taba urged the young participants to preserve and protect the declining indigenous culture.
Attending the programme, Chairman Department of Indigenous Affairs (DIA), Nabam Atum appreciated the IFCSAP Youth wing and encouraged the young participants to be torchbearers of indigenous culture and faith.
Former President IFCSAP Taba Hare, DIA Director Tayi Taggu also spoke among others.
In extempore speech, Lukyir Taji from Upper Subansiri district came first, Tanghua Wangsa from Tirap district and Bekromlu Pul from East Kameng came a close second and third.
