ITANAGAR, Nov 5: The Triangular Series of the Itanagar Cricket Club (ICC) opened today with an offering of condolence to the founder of Arunachal Cricket Association (ACA), Jt. Secretary Late Tado Kholie.
This is the 1st ever Triangular Series of the ICC for its Donyi-Polo Cricket Academy (DPCA) which was declared open by the founder member of the ACA and Treasurer Yama Tam Kholie. Lauding the efforts of the ICC, Kholie asked the players to maintain the rules and discipline of the game. The ICC President lauded the efforts of all the founding members of the Association for giving the platform which will help the state’s cricketers in getting chances to represent at the BCCI tournaments. Hony. Secretary, Tawang District Cricket Association (TDCA) Sonam Tenzing, Tarh Tana and Vijay Kumar Sharma were also present.
In the opening match, Green Team captain Momer Ori won the toss and decided to bat first and set a target of 75 runs. In reply the opponent’s openers Kale Cheda (C) hit 29 runs and Neelam Obi scored 27 runs, both not out and won the match comfortably in just 18.1 overs. The Man of the Match award went to Toko Techir who claimed 6 wickets at the cost of just 12 runs.
