ITANAGAR, Jul 17: In a virtual meeting with DDSE Mallo Yam Gollo, Education Department officers, Principals, Headmasters and Teacher In-charges of various schools of Itanagar Capital Complex  and All Arunachal Private Schools Association (AAPSA), ICC Deputy Commissioner Talo Potom today discussed various issues pertaining to the education scenario in ICC.
Already having a fair knowledge of the current ground realities through visits to various schools in the ICC recently, the DC discussed the measures that would be undertaken on a priority basis. Erection of boundary walls in all such schools should be prioritised to check encroachments, he said while urging the school heads to enforce Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
AAPSA President Techi James Tara and its General Secretary Levi Kuty while apprising the DC that private schools have been badly hit by the pandemic since the last two years, requested him to allow reopening only for the boarders. After being informed that government schools are allegedly admitting students from private schools without proper verification and documentation, the DC directed the DDSE to look into the matter.
The DDSE assured that all school in-charges have been directed to carry out proper scrutiny while receiving documents from students and lacunae, if any, would be rectified. DIPRO
