Itanagar, Mar 8: A team lead by Wing Commander S Shanmugam, Commanding Officer, 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati, Assam had a meeting with Talo Potom, Deputy Commissioner, Capital, Itanagar to create awareness and conduct publicity campaign for the various employment opportunities in the Indian Air Force.
Wing Commander S Shanmugam stated that the 11 Airmen Selection Centre Guwahati is responsible for carrying out recruitment in all seven North-Eastern states. Such recruitments are carried out through online STAR (Scheduled Test for Airmen Recruitment) Examination as well as Recruitment Rallies conducted in specific districts of a state. 
In order to attract and recruit the best, eligible and motivated candidates in both officer and airmen categories of IAF awareness through publicity campaigns are to be made. The aim of the publicity campaign is to reach out to the schools and colleges and to present various employment opportunities according to different eligibility criteria for which coordination and support from the concerned District Administration would be required. 
Further,  Talo Potom, assured the team of 11 Airmen Selection Centre, Guwahati, Assam that the District Administration, Capital, Itanagar would render all the cooperation and support needed for the successful conduct of any recruitment rallies to be conducted by the Indian Air Force.
